Ingredienser

  • 150 g (1 cup) plain flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 ml (1 cup) milk
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) thickened cream
  • 100 g smoked ham, chopped
  • 80 g (1 cup) grated cheddar, plus 100g, extra, cut into 12 pieces
  • 2 green shallots, trimmed, thinly sliced, plus extra, sliced to serve

Beskrivning

    Step 1
    Place the flour in a medium bowl.
    Make a well in the centre and add the eggs.
    Use a whisk to whisk until the eggs are smooth.
    Slowly whisk in milk and cream until a smooth batter forms.
    Season.
    Stir through ham , cheddar and shallot.
    Transfer the mixture to a large jug.
    Step 2
    Pour enough mixture to come to the top of the pie maker holes.
    Close and cook for 4 minutes.
    Place a piece of extra cheese in the centre of each quiche.
    Close and cook for a further 4-5 minutes or until cooked through.
    Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining mixture and cheese in 2 more batches.
    Serve scattered with extra shallot.
