Transfer the bird to a roasting tin, cover loosely with foil and place in the middle of the oven. Remove any giblets from the turkey and save for stock, if you are making your own (see 'Tip')

Fold in the turkey. Lay the marinated turkey on the foil in a single layer. Broil until turkey begins to blacken in spots, 6 to 8 minutes. Serve with Crispy Roast Potatoes and gravy. Place in a roasting pan {I place mine on additional sliced onions and garlic to raise up off the bottom} and roast for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until juices run clear when the thickest part of the thigh is pierced with a skewer, or thermometer reads 175 degrees
